June 12, 2024What Is a Surgical Boxing Apron? Disposable and Reusable Boxing Aprons
June 27, 2024Towels are an indispensable part of our daily lives. Towels are used after bathing, at the beach, at the gym and in many other places, and come in various sizes and colors. So how are these frequently used towels produced? In this article, we will discuss the production process of the towel in detail.
1. Raw Material Selection
The first step in towel production is to select the appropriate raw material. Towels are usually made from materials such as cotton, bamboo, microfiber or linen. The most commonly used material is cotton because cotton fibers provide high absorbency and softness.
2. Yarn Production
Selected raw materials are prepared for yarn production. Natural fibers such as cotton are subjected to various cleaning and combing processes. Then, these fibers are turned into yarn. The quality of the yarns directly affects the final quality of the towel.
3. Weaving Process
One of the most important stages in towel production is the weaving process. In weaving looms, warp and weft threads are brought together to form the towel fabric. In order for the towel to be soft and absorbent, a looped weaving method called "terry weaving" is generally used. In this method, the threads form loops at certain intervals and these loops provide the towel's hairy structure.
4. Cutting and Sewing
After the weaving process is completed, large fabric rolls are cut to the desired dimensions. At this stage, the edges of the towels are sewn neatly and decorative edge treatments are applied when necessary. This process increases both the aesthetic appearance and durability of the towel.
5. Dyeing and Patterning
Towels are dyed and patterned to make them visually appealing. The dyeing process ensures that the towels have the desired color. The patterning process is carried out with methods such as printing or jacquard weaving. In this way, towels are decorated with various patterns and motifs.
6. Quality Control
The final stage of towel production is quality control. The towels produced are subjected to various tests to check whether they comply with quality standards. These tests include the towel's absorbency, softness, and durability. Towels that pass the quality control stage are packaged and made ready for sale.
